Communal Area
We have Computers in the lounges and iPad so clients can skip enable family’s to keep in touch and small stocked library, where residents and family alike can help themselves. The design of the building is on two floors, consisting of three units.
Personal Environment
Regular reviews take place to ensure that changing needs are met. 24 hour support is provided by staff that are experienced and trained to meet your needs. This might include visits to hospital, optician, dentist or other health care appointments as necessary.
Health Care
If you require alternative or holistic therapy then we would assist you in obtaining this where possible. All chargeable to resident at differing costs depending on circumstances.It is anticipated that the majority of Service Users will wish to be registered with a local GP.
Personal Environment
Prospective Service Users are encouraged to visit the Home before making a decision to move in. The Manager and or the Deputy Manager would wherever possible visit the prospective resident to assess the needs and requirements to enable a smooth admission. Information would be sent to the relevant and significant others to ensure that we are able to deliver a service to you. At each stage the Manager and other staff are available to help. Families, friends and advocates can also be involved where Service Users so wish. Each Service User has an ISP which shows the support they need and wish to have and which the Home has agreed to provide. Service Users are routinely involved in its planning and delivery. You will have the opportunity to discuss your long-term needs and preferred daily routine with your Key-worker and have it recorded in your ISP for reference. Health Care
At NECH we have links to the local surgeries or if you wish to keep your own GP you are welcome to do so as long as we are in their catchment area. We also have access to specific therapeutic services such as Dentist, Opticians and Chiropody. If you require alternative or holistic therapy then we would assist you in obtaining this where possible. All chargeable to resident at differing costs depending on circumstances. We strive to provide a healthy balanced diet to promote well being and general health conditions.
Communal Area
There are five communal lounges and sitting areas throughout the building which are all very spacious, including a designated Hair salon. Televisions are provided in main lounge areas and television points are provided in all bedrooms as standard. We have a small sitting area at the main entrance which is very popular with our residents as get to watch who is coming and going and we have Nico our family parrot which they enjoy, and the chickens out in the garden . Our Mission is to assist older people who require Residential or Dementia care, regardless of their colour, race or creed, by providing the conditions necessary for their physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
We believe that each individual older person, whatever his or her disability, is a uniquely valuable individual and that people with age related disabilities should have the right of choice, dignity, respect, privacy and all their human right maintained and personal freedom to pursue their aspirations.
